All demo versions of rMOBILE software will operate for at least 14 days with
full functionality. To register the software you simply need to obtain and
enter a registration code. In most rMOBILE applications, you would enter the
reg code on the "Menu>Help>Registration" screen.
|
| Where do I purchase a registration code? |
Registration codes can be purchased from any number of vendors, including
PalmGear, Handango, Palm Software Connection, MobiHand, etc.
Another method is
to make a direct PayPal payment to sales@rmobile.ca. The PayPal
method is preferred by rMOBILE because the vendor sites charge large
commissions on each sale.
|
| What information do I need to provide? |
|
Only 2 pieces of information are mandatory: 1) the s/w title that you want
to buy, and 2) your device hotsync name. Note that the hotsync name is case,
and punctuation, sensitive. The hotsync name must be absolutely right or the
calculated reg code will be incorrect.
|
| How do I make sure my hotsync name is right? |
|
The best way is to enter ANY registration number into the registration screen
in your rMOBILE application. An error message will pop up and it will display
the detected device hotsync name plus a special error# that can be used to
validate the hotsync name. If you send BOTH the hotsync name AND the error#
then the registration code can be virtually guaranteed to be correct. The
error# is meaningless to the vendor sites, so it only applies to PayPal purchases,
where you would include the information in the 'notes' area of the payment.
